well most of mine stuff has been on really big newsprint because that's the paper that my teacher is requiring us to use so i can't scan it in just yet.

In the meantime, here's some of my old high school stuff:

So who's into the Naruto anime here?

Right now our project in Fundamentals 102 is to redesign or create an album cover. I have the 'Anime Collection' soundtrack for Naruto because I like Japanese instrumental music, but the cover is really boring. So that's the one I'm creating.
It's due by Tuesday since we have Monday off so I'll be able to post it once I'm done painting it. It just might be hard to understand the symbolism if you don't have even a little knowledge of the show/manga.

That last was a crosshatching exercise so it's not as good as it could be...

yeah, me either. It was supposed to be a cross-hatching exercise, but i don't really like crosshatching as much. guess it's an aquired skill or something.

Now that the albums are over, our midterm project is to redesign a logo. Like an airline, food item, website, that kind of thing.
I decided to do the Zelda video game Ocarina of time. I'm a total fanatic of Zelda games.

So, basically I've only wanted to get into art for a few years now, like my second year of high school. Originally I wanted to be a writer. Then I decided, why not both?
So while I'm thinking of illustrating my books, I also had the idea of maybe looking to start publishing something a little smaller and work my way up.
I happen to dabble in a bit of poetry and I figure I could do a children's book like some other artists. I actually belong to this site called hubpages where you can make hubs about pretty much anything you want.
I put a little of my dabbling on there if you guys want to see it. (It's all dragon based though )

THIS WAS FOR THE COVER OF A CATALOG. I CHOSE TO DO ONE FOR AN ART STORE NEAR THE SCHOOL. DONE IN ACRYLIC PAINT.




THIS WAS FOR AN ARTICLE ABOUT WHETHER CHRISTIANS SHOULD SMOKE MEDICAL MARIJUANA. DONE IN WATERCOLOR.




I THINK I POSTED A FULL-BODIED VERSION OF THIS ONE EARLIER, BUT I WENT INTO PHOTOSHOP TO PRACTICE GRADIENTS AND I THINK IT CAME OUT PRETTY GOOD.




THIS WAS A SURREALISM (DREAMLIKE) PIECE I DID COMPLETELY IN PHOTOSHOP BASED ON MY STORY 'FACE THE BEAST'.




ANOTHER PIECE IN PHOTOSHOP. WE WERE GIVEN THE ROOM WITH A CLOSED DOOR. WE HAD TO OPEN THE DOOR AND PUT SOMETHING IN IT. I USED A PHOTO OF MY CAT AND MADE HIM INTO HELL KITTY.

anyway Im for legitimate marihuana, it may be a drug, but its still safer than alcohol, plus contrary to alcohol and smoking, marihuana is anticancer and not the cause of it.. my opnion

I think part of the viewpoint was on how people stereotype marijuana users as delinquents and addicts.
I feel like I'm getting a lot better too, but i still need to work on my confidence level. and this was only my first digital class so I'm looking forward to more come fall.
